Tiny owl knits

Most knitters I am sure are aware of Tiny Owl Knits...not sure? How about if I say Bee keepers quilt or hexi puffs? If you haven't been living under a knitters rock then you know what I mean.

Tiny owls knits and that bee keepers quilt are one of the hottest things on ravelry and the knitting world...well ever. The brain child Stephanie Dosen who also happens to be pretty kick ass singer song writer when shes not dreaming up beautiful knitting projects. This blanket may well be the most popular thing ravelry has ever seen.

And its not hard to see why, this unique and quirky quilt is made up for around 500 tiny little hexipuffs, knitted in the round, stuffed and sewn together to make the most fantastic blanket I have ever seen!

This is currently top of my list of projects that i really am going to start this year, however there is more than a pinch of madness about it, it requiring 500 hexipuffs to make a blanket and I think the sheer scale of the project is a little over facing for a new knitter like myself, however i do think there will be a lot of satisfaction from completing each little puff so i am going to give it ago, don't be surprised if in a few months the bee keepers pillow arrives though.

But seriously who wouldnt want to give this ago! The pattern is available on Etsy here. Still need convincing then I will let the lady herself convince you with this great up beat, fairy godmother level loveliness Vlog she posted.

I will keep you posted on the progress I make with this monumental pattern

Final word if you have the time to follow me on twitter that would grand!
